A car with mass 1450 kg, is rolling along a flat road at 15 m/s.

It then starts to roll up a hill. How much height will it gain up

the hill? Assume the driver doesn't press any of the pedals.

    Explanation:

    Kinetic energy = potential energy

    ½ mv² = mgh

    ½ v² = gh

    h = v² / (2g)

    h = (15 m/s) ² / (2 * 9.8 m/s²)

    h = 11.5 m
