What evidence did sir issac newton use to support his particle explanation of light

    This question is totally off base and out in left field.

    Isaac Newton never had a particle explanation of light.

    The notion of light as a stream of particles was never proposed

    until more than 100 years after Newton's death.

    In 1905, shortly after the concept was invented mathematically,

    Einstein used it to explain the 'photoelectric effect', for which he

    won the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics (his one and only Nobel).
