Billy drops a water balloon from the roof of his house. Since the balloon began with an original velocity of zero, how far above ground was the balloon if it took 2.5 seconds to hit the ground?

    S = ut + 0.5at^2

    s = distance which is height (down)

    u = original veocity = 0

    t = time = 2.5 s

    a = g = 10m/s^2; free fall (down)
