What are some similarities and differences between elements, compounds, and mixtures?

    T he similarities between compounds and mixtures are that they are both made up of two or more elements and that they could both be separated and then mixed with different elements to make a new mixture and compound.

    A mixture is made from two or more substances that are chemically different and are not chemically joined. A compound is a substance formed when two or more elements chemically react with each other to form chemical bonds between their atoms.
