What is the momentum of a 5.2-kg salmon swimming upstream with a speed of 2.3 m/s?

    Momentum is the product of mass in kg and the velocity (m/s) of a body in motion. If a body is at rest then momentum is zero since the velocity is zero.

    In this case, Momentum = mass * velocity

    = 5.2 kg * 2.3 m/s

    = 11.96 kgm/s

    Therefore, the momentum of the salmon will be 11.96 kgm/s
