The atomic emission spectra of a sodium atom on earth and of a sodium atom in the sun would be same.

    Explanation:

Emission spectra is the phenomenon of emitting radiation of particular wavelength when atoms of an element jump from higher energy state to lower energy state for a given excitation wavelength. There is no influence of gravity and composition of the surrounding on the energy levels of the elements.

The discrete energy levels for every elements are unique and so is the emission spectra for each element. Since the energy levels will occupy at different energy values, the emission wavelength will also vary depending on the element and not on the surrounding atmosphere. Thus, on earth, the sodium atom's atomic emission spectra will be same as the emission spectra of sodium atom on Sun.
