    Wavelength of infrared ~ 10⁻⁵ m.

    Wavelength of Ultraviolet ~ 10⁻⁸ m.

    ∴ Wavelength of infrared > Wavelength of Ultraviolet

    Frequency α 1/wavelength

    ∴ Frequency of UV photon > Frequency of infrared photon

    Energy of photon α frequency.

    ∴Energy of UV photon > Energy of infrared photon
