How much heat is absorbed by a 32g iron skillet when its temperature rises from 12oc to 117oc?

    Would take the specific heat capacity of iron to be: 0.45 J/g°C

    mass = 32g, temperature change = (117 - 12) °C

    Q = mcθ

    Q = 32 * 0.45 * (117 - 12) = 1512 J
