A plane designed for vertical takeoff has a mass of 7.7 Ã 103 kg. find the net work done on the plane as it accelerates upward at 1.4 m/s2 through a distance of 31.0 m after starting from rest. answer in units of j.

    The net work is calculated when force is multiplied with distance. Force is calculated when mass is multiplied with the acceleration. So, the solution is as follows:

    W = Fd

    W = mad

    W = (7.7*10³ kg) (1.4 m/s²) (31 m)

    W = 334,180 J
