Watson walks up the stairs on his way to class. He weighs 785 N, and the stairs go up 4.75 m vertically. What is his power output if he climbs the stairs in 11.5 s?

*Remember to list given values, formula (s), calculations, final answer with the correct unit and correct number of significant figures. *

(I already solved it but I wanted to make sure I was correct because my grade is suffering.) I got (Using the formula P=W/t) 1067.6 ft-N/s. I will post my work if you need me to.

    Explanation:

    Power = energy / time

    P = w / t

    W = force x distance

    So power (p) = f x d / t

    = 785 x 4.75 / 11.5

    = 3728.75/11.5

    = 324.2 watts
