A water-skier is pulled behind a boat by a rope that is at an angle of 13° and has a tension of 490 N. The water-skier has a mass of 49 kg.

Draw a free-body diagram showing the forces acting on the skier. (She is being pulled to the right.)

    As we know that Skier is pulled towards right with tension force T

    so tension force is inclined at some given angle 13 degree towards right

    Now due to the motion of skier towards right it will experience the friction force opposite to the motion so in left direction it will have friction force

    Also we know that weight of the skier is downwards and this is counter balanced by the normal force of the water on her

    So the Free body diagram of skier is as following
