It is known that like charges tend to repel each other whereas unlike charges tend to attract each other. For example, when a positive charge comes closer to another positive charge then they will repel each other.

But when a negative charge is brought closer to a positive charge then they tend to attract each other.

Hence, to determine the charges present on the two objects we can perform additional experiments.

As it is given that when objects A and B are brought together, they repel. And, when objects B and C are brought together, they also repel. This means that A and C will also repel each other due to the presence of same charge.

This also means that all three objects possess charges of the same sign.

Therefore, we can conclude that the true statements are as follows.

additional experiments must be performed to determine the signs of the charges. objects A and C possess charges of the same sign. all three objects possess charges of the same sign.
