    F = 1183 N

    Explanation:

    Given,

    The mass of the skier, m = 91 Kg

    The initial speed of the skier, u = 0 m/s

    The final speed of the skier, v = 13 m/s

    The distance traveled by the skier, d = 23 m

    The velocity and displacement relation is given by the formula

    v = d/t m/s

    ∴ t = d/v s

    Substituting the given values in the above equation

    t = 23 / 13

    = 1.769 s

    Therefore, the acceleration of the skier,

    a = (v-u) / t

    = (23 - 0) / 1.769

    = 13 m/s²

    The force acting on the skier is given by the formula

    F = ma N

    = 91 Kg x 13 m/s²

    = 1183 N

    Hence, the bet force exerted on the skier, assuming his acceleration is constant is, F = 1183 N
