In answering the following questions, assume that the angular acceleration is constant and nonzero:?0.

Suppose you are asked to find the amount of time t, in seconds, it takes for the turntable to reach its final rotational speed. Which of the following equations could you use to directly solve for the numerical value of t?

?=?0+?0t+12? t2

?=?0+? t

?2=?20+2? (?0)

    Second equation

    Explanation:

    Solution:-

    - Assuming that the initial and final rotational speed of the turn-table are known and the turntable have the a non zero constant angular acceleration (α):

    α = (wf - wi) / t

    t = (wf - wi) / α

    - From the equation above we can directly find the time taken by the turntable to achieve the desired rotational speed. Where,

    wi : initial rotational speed

    wf : final/desired rotational speed

    - The formula can be re-arranged to get:

    wf = wi + α*t ... (second equation in the list given)
