    x₀ = initial position of the car = 25 m

    x = final position of the car = - 7 m

    t = time taken by the car = 34 seconds

    displacement of the car is given as

    d = change in position = x - x₀ = - 7 - 25 = - 32 m

    average velocity of the car is given as

    V = d/t

    V = - 32/34

    V = - 0.94 m/s

    after the rock is thrown up in air, the only force acting on the rock is force of gravity in down direction. due to this force, the rock experience acceleration in down direction which is known as the acceleration due to gravity. the magnitude of this acceleration is constant and is given as 9.8 m/s²
