What compression is required for the spring potential energy to equal 0.0094J

    EE = ½ kx²

    0.0040 J = ½ k (0.0050 m) ²

    k = 320 N/m

    EE = ½ kx²

    0.0094 J = ½ (320 N/m) x²

    x = 0.0077 m

    x = 0.77 cm
