The answer is "A. It is a substance which will always hold its shape"

Because solids can hold their shape because their molecules or particles are so tight to be packed together. Because the atoms inside of a solid are unable to move around too much.

Solid is one of the state of matter. Solid objects are usually hard and have their own shape.
