    Explanation:

    a) 1 feet = 3.2808 m

    volume = length*breath*height

    (40*3.2808) * (20*3.2808) * (12*3.2808

    =339008 cubic feets

    b) weight = volume * density

    = (40*20*12) * 1.20

    = 11520 kg

    = 25397.253 pounds
