Slow twitch muscles are more beneficial than fast twitch muscles for cardiorespiratory fitness because slow-twitch muscles are able to use oxygen more efficiently than fast-twitch muscles. Cardiorespiratory fitness

is about efficient use of oxygen.

Slow-twitch muscles have muscle fibers rich in blood supply and are most beneficial during endurance activities. On the other hand, fast-twitch muscles have muscle fibers which are used in any exercise or movements involving speed or power.
