A ball on the end of a string is spinning around a circle with a radius of 5 centimeters. If in a central angle of radian has been covered, what is the angular speed of the ball?

    Angular speed = (1/60) rad/s = 0.01667 rad/s

    Linear speed = 0.0833 cm/s = 0.000833 m/s

    Explanation:

    Given,

    θ = (1/3) radians

    t = 20 s

    r = 5 cm = 0.05 m

    Angular speed = (Angular Distance covered) / time taken to cover the distance

    That is, w = (θ/t)

    w = (1/3) : 20 = (1/60) rad/s

    Linear speed = (angular speed) * (radius of circular motion)

    Linear speed = (1/60) * 0.05 = 0.000833 m/s
