    The metric (SI) unit of mass is the kilogram.

    On Earth, 1 kilogram of mass weighs about 2.205 pounds.

    In the systems of units and measurements, CGS : gram is used to report the mass of an object. It is the mass of one cm³ of water.

    In SI system one Kilogram or Kg is used. It is equal to 1000 grams.

    In FPS system pounds are used to report mass.
