    Explanation:

    The phagocytosis can be define as cellular eating whereas the pinocytosis can be define as the cellular drinking. In phagocytosis the cell engulfs the whole particles, these particles are later broken down by the enzymes present in the phagocytic cell. But in the case of pinocytosis the cell engulfs the already dissolved and broken down food.
