How does thermal energy run a car? How does burning gas in the engine cause the wheels to turn?

    What the engine does is burn the gas in order to cause a mini explosion which then drives up pistons those pistons then provide the mechanical energy to do anything you want and in a cars case it is rotate an axle that is connected to the wheels of a car
