A car traveling at 25 m/s starts to decelerate steadily. It comes to a complete stop in 10 seconds. What is Its acceleration?

    Using the formula v = u + at where v = 0, u = 25 m/s, and t = 10 s,

    0 = 25 + 10a

    10a = - 25

    a = - 2.5 m/s^2
