Electromagnetic waves is phenomenon of physics. It refers to the waves produced by the electromagnetic field which travels through space. They are created as a result of vibrations between a magnetic field and an electric field.
It also be said that these waves are composed of oscillating magnetic and electric fields. These waves have different energies and different wavelengths. For example radio waves are said to have the lowest energy and yet the longest wavelength.
