    Distance of a fall from rest = (1/2) (g) (Time²)

    75 m = (1/2) (9.8 m/s²) (Time²)

    75 m = (4.9 m/s²) (Time²)

    Divide each side by (4.9 m/s²):

    Time² = (75 m) / (4.9 m/s²)

    Time² = (15.3) (s²)

    Square-root both sides:

    Time = 3.91 seconds
