An archer needs to hit a bullseye on a target at eye level of 60ft away. If the archer fires the arrow from the eye level with a speed of 47ft/s at an angle of 25.0 degrees above the horizontal, will the arrow hit the target

    The time of fly of a projectile to the same level as it was launched is 2 (v_y) / g=2 (47sin (25)) / g. We multiply this by the v_x to get the distance. Thus, the distance is 2 (47sin (25)) / g*47cos (25) = 86.2. This is a overshoot!
