the mud reduces friction between the tire and the surface the bike is riding on.

    Explanation:

rubber is a substance with lots of friction, mud acts like a lubricant in that case.

Answer:The Mud makes the tire slippery

Explanation: mud is already a slippery substance, and when it gets on the tire, it gets in the grooves of the tire, and it wont have the traction it usually has (because the mud is in the grooves of the tire) therefore, making it slippery and hard to use ... chances are, you'll fall off of the bike or won't be able to stop as fast
