Matter is anything that has mass and occupies space.

There are a myriad physical properties that make up matter, not only one. Physical properties are the attributes of a substance that can be observed without changing the composition of that substance, and it is these attributes that make up that substance or matter. A few of these include:

    1. Density: The mass per unit volume of a substance

    2. Hardness: The degree of resistance a solid matter is to external force or how resistant a matter is to external force

    3. Solubility: Ability of a substance to dissolve

    4. Color: Hue of a substance as observed by the human eye.

    5. Volume: The space that a substance occupies.

    6. Flexibility: How pliable a substance is.

There are many more. The above examples give the general idea.
