Which component, located in the center of the axle housing, transmits torque to the drive wheels while also allowing the wheels to rotate at different speeds when cornering?

    Driveshaft. This allows the wheels to rotate and lets the car move on the road. The driveshaft also allows the car's wheels to move at separate rates of speed. When the torque of the driveshaft is transmitted to the wheels, they are allowed to spin.
