A solid cylinder has a mass of 1 kg and a radius of 0.1 m. Starting from rest, the cylinder rolls down a ramp angels at 30 Degree from the horizontal. The ramp is 1 m long and the cylinder rolls without slipping. How fast is it traveling parallel to the ramp at the moment it reached the bottom? g = 10 m/s^2 10 m/s

    Acceleration of rolling cylinder on the ramp

    = g sin 30 / 1 + k²/r², where k is radius of gyration of cylinder

    For cylinder k²/r² = 1 / 2

    acceleration a = g sin 30 / 1 + 1/2

    a = 10 x 1/2 x 2/3

    =10/3 m/s²

    v² = u² + 2as

    v² = 2 x 10/3 x 1

    20/3

    v = √20 / 3.
