    4 s.

    Explanation:

    Acceleration: This can be defined as the rate of change of velocity of a body. The S. I unit of acceleration is m/s.

    The formula for acceleration is given as,

    From newton's equation of motion,

    a = (v-u) / t ... Equation 1

    Where a = acceleration of the car, v = final velocity of the car, u = initial velocity of the car, t = Time interval.

    Make t the subject of the equation.

    t = (v-u) / a ... Equation 2

    Given: v = 8.0 m/s, u = 5.0 m/s, a = 0.75 m/s²

    Substitute into equation 2

    t = (8-5) / 0.75

    t = 3/0.75

    t = 4 s.

    Hence the time interval the acceleration will occur = 4 s.
