You are designing a flash camera and wish to store 3j of energy in a capacitor to power the flashbulb. the circuitry of the camera will produce an emf of 200v to charge the capacitor. what size capacitor should you use to store the required energy?

    energy = (CxV^2) / 2

    so 3 = (C x 200^2) / 2 = (C X 2 X 10^4)

    therefore C = 3 / (2 X 10^4) = 1.5 X10^-4 Farads

    = 150 microfarads.
