    Explanation: A joint is a connection between two bones constructed to allow for different degrees and types of movement. There are different types of joints. Histologically, there are three types of joint:

    - fibrous joint

    -cartilaginous joint and

    -synovial joint.

    Fibrous joints are connected by dense connective tissue consisting mainly of collagen. These joints are also called fixed or immovable joints because they do not move. Fibrous joints have no joint cavity and are connected via fibrous connective tissue.
