    A) Locations M and O are at the poles

    Explanation:

The Earth is a spherically shaped planet. The Earth rotates along the axis that passes through the poles. Even there is precision in the Earth's axis, the polar regions on Earth receive lesser sunlight. The Equator regions receive more sunlight compared to the other regions on Earth's surface. Even if there is a seasonal change due to Earth's revolution around the Sun, the average sunlight received on the equatorial regions remain the same. In polar regions, the sunlight has to travel a large distance than the equatorial regions. Due to this large distance, it gets spread out. Hence, the locations M and O which receive less sunlight that is spread out should be in the poles.
