    The seniority system is granting privileges to the members who have served the longest giving them more power and deciding choices for the committee.

    Explanation:

    In the seniority system, skills and achievement will have lesser influence compared to working experience. The promotion and increased in salary will be given to employees as long as they are sticking with the committee long enough.

    One advantage of this system is that it provides security for committee members. But the massive disadvantage is that it killed the incentive for young members to actually work hard and increase their productivity for the committee.
