Minny remembers her husband telling her, "If I didn't hit you, Minny, who knows what you [would] become" (p 485). He means he has to keep her in her place or she would be out of control. However, as Minny thinks about this phrase, she takes this phrase differently than Leroy does. How does she view this phrase differently?
