Why do you think a soldier in the Continental Army might consider deserting?

    He might consider because there were really bad weather conditions during the Civil War in America. It was cold and they didn't have good boots. They weren't paid to serve in the army either. The men who fought in the Continental Army were fighting just because they wanted liberty and freedom in the USA.

    he might want to leave because of the weather (winter) conditions no proper clothing
