Socialization is the lifelong process of inheriting values from others, which bring the person new skills and habits that are needed to participate in their society. Personality is the combination of characteristics that create a persons own character. Socialization and personality are different in that socialization is a part of creating personality. When ideas are shared via socialization, they effect the person on the receiving end, which leads to the development of personality.
