Gertrude sees Ophelia in her madness for the first time.

Claudius sees Ophelia in her madness for the first time.

Laertes sees Ophelia in her madness for the first time.

Claudius takes Laertes aside to explain about Polonius's death and burial.

    Explanation:

In Act IV scene v of the play "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare, we see Queen Gertrude in conversation with Horatio and another gentleman about Ophelia. Then Ophelia enters after the exit of the gentleman.

Ophelia had seemingly gone insane after the death of her father Polonius. Gertrude was the first to see her in her mad state of mind, after which King Claudius enters the scene and also saw her. Then comes her brother Leartes, who demanded revenge and wanted to kill Claudius for his father's death. But Claudius managed to manipulate him and told him that true revenge will be when he (Leartes) learns of the real murderer and then he can avenge his father's death. Taking him aside, he began to tell him of the circumstances of Polonius' death and burial, also at the same time trying to make sure that Leartes target Hamlet and kill him.
