Which company was allowed to sell tea to the colonists at very low prices?

    The British East India Tea Company sold tea at very cheap prices to the colonists.

    (This eventually hurt the sales of the colonial tea merchants who had more expensive tea, and eventually led to the Boston Tea Party when the colonies decided to boycott British tea)
