In the past in many cultures, boys were required to engage in violent rituals in which they were to submit to and sometimes engage in bloodletting of various kinds. Why have these rituals declined in frequency or disappeared?

    Due to globalization, some of the culture rituals in which boys are required to engage in violent rituals and sometimes in bloodletting of various kinds, have declined in frequency, or have even disappeared. The term globalization denotes a process of interaction and integration among cultures, people and removal of barriers between national economies.
