on the legitimate functions of law in society. Do you agree with laws that prohibit gambling? Drinking while driving? Underage drinking? Liquor violations? Drugs? Helmet law for bicycles or motorcycles? Leash laws? Seat belts? Smoking in public places? What other laws have limited Americans' freedoms? Can they be justified under any ethical rationale?

    Yes, I agree with those functions of law in society because they are all because of people's safety in the country or the city. Drinking while driving can cause many problems in society and it should be punished. All things that can cause death should be punished by the police and only in that way we can save our children and other people.

    Smoking in public places is not so punishable but smoking in indoor places is also against the law and those things can harm someone who is sick or allergic.
