    The Anti-Federalists rejected the term, "Anti-Federalists", attributed to their political position that Federalists were a threat to individual rights and only an encouragment for dictatorship, making the president king. It was a movement of the 18th century headed by Patrick Henry, and against the revision of the Articles of confederation that gave states more power than the central government. Anti federalists in fact argued that they were the true federalists.
