    It tends to be fairly traditional. Boys tend to be the ones who are supposed to participate in sports and other "masculine" endeavors, while girls are to take part in domestic activities. In addition, girls are supposed to hold to popular definitions of attractiveness; i. e., being thin and popular with all the right groups inside and outside the schools.
