When the Olympic games began in ancient Greece, only men who spoke Greek were allowed to participate.

At the start, the games were designed in such a way that the Greek men can remain appropriate for the intensity of war. The length of the foot race path was 700 ft long and it was kept a straight trail. It was too wide so that twenty men can run at a time side by side. Men had to run the races with naked bodies.
