The rhyme scheme of the poem "My Cat" is AABB rhyme scheme.
Explanation:
In a poem, the ending words of each lines describes the pattern in which that poem was written. They are called rhymes. When a new sound is encountered in a line of a poem it is denoted with the letter "A" and next new sound will be "B" and follows the similar way. There are different rhyme scheme like "AABB", "ABAB", "ABCB".
The poem "My Cat" follows the rhyme scheme of AABB. Here the ending words of the line 1 and 2 of the poem will be having similar sounds.
My cat is nice.
My cat likes mice.
My cat is fat.
I like my cat.
"Nice" and "Mice" has similar sounds.
