    Benito Mussolini was an Italian dictator, governor as prime minister of the Kingdom of Italy between 1922 and 1943. He was an ally of Adolf Hitler and in his government, Italy was aligned with Germany during the 2nd world war.

    As part of his foreign policy, he repressed the rebellions in Libya and conquered Ethiopia in 1935, in order to strengthen and increase the prestige of Italy.
