The liberty ships affect the workforce in George's as they decreased hourly wages and salaries in the state.

    Explanation:

The liberty ships also known as victory ships, were the sequence of cannonry cargo ships that were built in the United States during the World War II. The purpose of building those ships were to satisfy the land lease act with Britain, German submarines and to maintain supply convoys with the Soviet Union.

During the time of World War II, approximately 200 ships were constructed by the state of Georgia on which the workers were hired who roughly built a ship every 9 days. In order to obtain this performance, the working hours were extended and more personnel were hired, reducing salaries so as not to exceed the expected expenses, all under the excuse of being an effort for war.

The correct answer is, "They created jobs and stimulated the economy".

When President Franklin Roosevelt decided to achieve British needs in WW2, Brunswick was one of the cities in Georgia in which jobs were created. There were around 16000 workers at the Brunswick shipyards working in the project from 1941 to 1945. These workers built 85 Liberty ships during that time. In Savannah, workers built around 88 ships from 1942 to 1945, many workers in this project were women and African Americans. It is believed that this shipping project took Georgia out of the depression at that time.
