Albemarle Paper Co. v. Moody, 422 U. S. 405 (1975) case supported validation requirements for performance appraisals, as well as for selection tests.

    Explanation:

In this case, the African American who was employed at the North Carolina paper mill, the Albemarle Paper Company rightly said that the tests the company do organise for people upon employment and the seniority system they had in place continued the discrimination that was in place before the Title VII of the Civil Rights Law which was passed in 1964.

They requested for a back pay relief and the Supreme Court granted them that and requested that the tests be discontinued.
